after a while you get an intuitive feel for your economy and dont really need to watch the numbers too much.
But for a beginner i would suggest watching what you build. Most people dont realize how much of an economy drain building something as simple as a mass storage unit can be in the beginning. Its just a good idea in general to not build anything unless you absolutely need it. And if you ever look at ur eco numbers and see a little breathing room start upgrading mexes to T2, but be careful as these can be a big eco drain if u do multiples at once or even do 1 at the wrong time.
