Amateurs T.U.C.
I think it would be cool if there were an amateur's version of T.U.C. The "weaker" non-top 20 players could have their own competition. This is cool I think because it begins preparing less-advanced players for what a pro-level of play is like.
Sort of a stepping stone I guess you would consider it. I know I would like to be involved in it, I could even help organize. The thing is I would like to participate as well and am unsure whether or not I would be able to be staff as well as a participant since that is usually barred.
I would propose calling it S.C.C. for Sub-Commanders Competition. It is sort of how CAL and CPL work, the Cyber-athlete Amateur League and the Cyber-athlete Professional League.
I would probably envision it as more of a king-of-the-hill like T.U.C. currently is, with the difference that there would be a ladder, and people would change their rank based on who they beat. It could be a constant thing, rather than a once-a-week showdown like T.U.C. is, so players would arrange matches with eachother whenever they could.
To prevent getting to the top and no longer accepting matches, we could have a law where players who have not played a match in a week are automatically moved down a rank, and the person under them moves up a rank. So they swap places. This would go for everyone, not just the reigning Sub-Commander.
And regular games would work a similar way. So if #5 played #1 and won, then they would simply swap places on the ladder. This also makes managing the competition easier, as their is less administration involved. All it takes is for players to arranges matches with one another and then submit the replay to the admin, who changes the rankings on the ladder.
