So either you are complaining that some noob is spending 300 mass to take down 30 mass building, or you are building a 900 mass mex, where you cant protect it. Either way, someone is doing something stupid. And if you have ints, you can even intercept the mercies.

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention in my post. What I meant to say that even if the economy in Sup Com was fixed and building tier 2/3 mex outside your base was actually a feasible option then the mercy would still be a resistive force against those who want to expand.
I see the ideal economy balance in this game to be in such a way so that players are constantly battling for those mass points and actually building tier 2 and 3 mex, not just in their base but outside it too. Obviously fabs are the entire reason this does not happen just now but if fabs were fixed then the mercy would still discourage expansion because of the speed it can react to an expansion attempt.
