It's maybe quite funny when you click now on Aeon Strategies because you will see 2 Threads with the opposite title.

I played last days several games as Cybran, and played lots of matches vs top 20 players who played most of the time Aeon... didn't manage to pull of one win... really get the feeling in some way that Aeon is the strongest faction here.

Here are several elements which made me lose.

- Tier 2 Point Defense has a very strong attack with splash damage
- Tier 3 Harbingers... quite fast and really effective vs my Tier 3 Robots
- Navy of the Aeon is amazing strong...
- Tier 1 Bombers, are accurate and really effective vs Power Generators and buildings equal to that size...

It's really remarkable that there are so many top players using Aeon, sometimes I think Aeon is overpowered.... but maybe it's also the fact how good the players are using Aeon... I am wondering how Cybran or UEF would be played by a really top notch player with good Macro... I think if we want to chance that more players are going to play Cybran or UEF we need some hero UEF or Cybran players... who can match up with the current top players...

I'm feeling that Aeon are a bit overpowered as well. It is so hard to stop a faction that can move land units across water, shoot you before you even have vision, etc.

Doesn't prepare use Cybran? and he is Beta champ, and last time i checked in the top 10 ( even first but not sure )

It's a valid point. Aeon are very good offensivley, the only drawback of most of their land units is lack of 360 degree coverage, retreating is hardly an option.

For me I think the major problem with Aeon is their naval capacity. Turreting land bottlenecks seems hardly worthwhile when their entire army can simple take to the sea and workaround the whole thing. Yes, you can build torpedo turrets but they really aren't geared toward defeating masses of tanks, 4 shots at one target, long reload and another 4 shots...ineffeicent and thus ineffective.

Their bombers are intersting as well. Whilst it takes a UEF Attack bomber five or six runs to destory a power gen, aeon does it in 3 perhaps? Admittedley, they don't have the AoE damage of cybran/UEF but who the hell cares!?

So yes, I think Aeon are probably the strongest, but name an RTS that didn't have a race that was slightly better then the other two, I can't think of any...

All you say is true, but it's a shame that the Aeons are not superior in tier 1. The Aeons are not strong in tier 1, but if you reach tier 2, ... thats another story. On water is the Aeon the strongest and they are the only faction who got a land, sea and air experiment.

Since the first announcement of the game i've been hoping that the Aeon would at least be very strong. I love their so called "WAY" (in the story ) and I'm willing to take on those 'hero' players for the UEF and Cybran... Let me train first ok?

Lol, I sometimes play with cybran and UEF but i feel more comfortable with Aeon... Have no real idea why that is.
