Calling all pros:

I played vs TheLittleOne today and got creamed in the Aeon mirror on Winter's Duel. What he did was basically mass light assault bots and then started reinforcing with heavy tanks and arty. I tend to go tanks and then arty on WD, pushing a bit with the ACU and offensive PD / reclaiming.

Could have drew the game I think, his ACU was low enough but I ctrl-k without thinking since it was lost for sure, and he outplayed me pure and simple.

Anyone got any ideas on how the christ to counter this without doing the same strategy yourself? He had enough units to take out my defensive PD on the hill, and with his ACU and units I couldn't hold up.. the push was insanely fast and powerful, he overcame me by about the 7 minute mark.

LittleOne, if you read this, some tip would also be great ^_^

yeah, i see what you mean. I know it happens but I can never figure out how the F*** to win and it pisses me off like a mofo! Me and my friend were playing 2v2 ranked and we played Isis-guess what? We might as well not have been on teams cuz we were on the opposite sides of the map. We got completely owned and it's a bunch of bull****. When we play, we end up on open palms half the time, and it's pretty much the same situation, and we lose. So i watch the replay and figure out that they only build like 2 engineers to start building resources, then just spam factories like a mofo. So that's what I tried on our Isis battle. Guess what? Didn't work. I watched that replay and found that the enemy built about 10 engineers. Bull****. Everything I do is countered, even when I do what the enemies do. their gay commander killed all my freaking bots. I starting making LABs right away, cuz that's what usually happens to me, so I figure it must be great. Except it sucks ass. When they build lab's and tanks, I build arty and lose. When I build tanks and lab's, they build arty, and guess wtf happens? You guessed it. I don't even see how the hell they have resources and it pisses me off like a mofo!

Scouting might help you, so you can see what they are doing and counter it. Therefore if they build LAB's you can build HAB's, and if they build HAB's you can build arty/LABS's.

yeah, but building scouts slows down my unit production. i see what you're saying, but it's just frustrating.

Scouts pop out in a second!!! and with 2 of them you can basically see the whole of WD map!

It may slow down your building (By a fraction) but it will make your construction more effective.

Ender, he was talking about the other maps, not WD. I am talking WD :P If you are talking about WD and not in response to the games on Isis that bloodless is talking about, I went HAB and arty, and he went LAB with a mix of HAB and arty. Got any advice on that one?

I'm just stuck on how to stop that rush, I can figure some of my game out from there I imagine.

Make sure you keep your units as still as possible when youre facing LABs, they tend to miss if they're moving.

Other then that the only way you can really counter a LAB rush on WD is hold a choke point and force him through it, he will almost definitely have more units then you so keep moving your comm while your units blast him.

He has to either attack your comm, or stand still and attack your tanks, at which point they will get outgunned.

Thanks for the tip, think it would be a good idea to pop up a couple walls in the middle with my ACU then and then maybe just blast at him with some arty and tech up?
