Supreme Commander will not launch

Hi,
Im new to the game, i just bought this game from amazon brand new and i installed it with a few errors, and when i try to launch it failed to initilize, like launch the game. What do i do? Do i need to update suming or what?

Im having a problem starting as well. It will load up, and get thru the splash screen, then it gives me a message abut Video hardware not being up to snuff, and to check my video drivers...well, im using nVidia 7900GTO (x2 in SLi) and have 169.21 from nVidia. It was working fine yesterday, but last night i downloaded a hotfix for windows to enable dual cores actually using dual cores and turned on my SLi. then this morning it just plain didnt work. trying a fresh install to see if it helps. Also using the 3gb enabler.

EDIT: The message reads as follows:
"Please verify video hardware meets minimum specifications. Please ensure system has current video drivers."

I believe you have to find config file somewhere and manually set a resolution, or something. I know someone who had this problem. Try googling that error msg and I bet you'll find the answer =)

I know this isnt very helpfull, but atleast your not the only one =)

I found an easy solution, navigate to C:\Users\"YOUR USER NAME"\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\SupremeCommander
and delete/rename the game.prefs file, then launch the game and make a new profile.
