Hi,
Supreme Commander is running fine on my system and there are no problems till i log into GPnet and try to join a custom game.Than my supreme commander starts and while there is "connecting" window Supreme commander minimizes and then i get the windows error message that GPnet caused a problem and will be shut down.
After it is shut down i can still go into suprme commander where still the connecting window is shown but nothing happens.

I suspect you have a firewall or your router setting does not have the required ports open? Provide some more info about your system please and also could you copy paste the error message you are getting?
