Hi, I got supreme commander, patched it to latest patch (3217), my pc specs are

Amd 64 - 4000+
xt1900xtx 512 gfx
3 gig twinmos ram
asus A8n-sli premium
4 x 300 gig sata in raid 0
Windows xp
all drivers are latest - from bios to gfx card to network card...
and ive reinstalled this game 4 times...

everytime I get into supreme commander multiplayer ie. I host a game, it reboots pc, and says when I get back into windows "your computer has recovered from a series error" <--- wth ? , but if I reboot pc, before going into supreme commander and I join a game, I can play (but only sometimes), I dont think its overheating, as my gfx is not that hot + I got a big *ss fan next to it...
im getting 700watt power supplies soon, im assuming this could be problem, but im not sure.

This is the only game that does that, Battlefield 2/2142/Quake/Warcraft all work fine, no problems, so im assuming this is the game.

Please help, as this is really irritating, and I dunno what to do about this...

Hi,

I had this problem as well with the Beta at the beginning. I don't know what is your current Power Supply but it's very important to have a good one. As important as any other hardware in your computer.
This crash is IMO definitelly due to your Power Supply not being strong enough.

I advice is too upgrade it ASAP. 700-750 should do it.

I have a 550 watt asus, but i know people playing on 400 watts and they working fine, ill post again come monday, let u know, but from what i can tell u might be right.

Yeah it can run fine with 400 Watt for some computer spec but what you seem to have here is a quite high end machine and each of those components need a good amount of Power.

When i had this problem it was my GF card which was not supllied enough in power and shut down either when starting or when there were too many units etc...

Cross fingers, your new PW should do the job.

I'm pretty sure there is no fix or patch to this. Hardware isn't something you just fix with installing software. The fact is your PC is kinda high-end just like GuTs said. And the more you got into that case the more power it needs... Every single piece in there needs power and if you fail to supply it with enough power... It just shuts of when it lags on power. The only real option is to just buy a bigger power supply unit. They aren't very expensive but they are the most important piece...
