I've noticed that almost all Vista users allready encountered several problems with the game. Is this because of Vista being still new and no real good testing happened yet or is this another reason? In any case... I've been running the game op Windows XP Professional and i didnt encounter any problems so far... If anyone knows a little more about this issue then don't hesitate and post some answers or facts!

Well i hope it does. Some computer hardware manufacturers would have already stopped working on Windows XP to focus on Vista Drivers only. Supreme Commander itself is compatible from what i can remember but then it's down to the drivers i guess and therefore the manufacturers' supports team.
Well probably someone around is playing SupCom on Vista?

Exactly, I think SupCom players owning Vista just need to wait untill they bring out some new fixes to all kinds of problems.
No idea actually i'm going to wait untill they bring out the OS that Vista was stripped from... They say that LONGHORN is still an upcoming OS that will be totally new... and Vista has been stripped from that OS just for a little income to the microsoft company... Don't know if its true though...

Heya I'm running on Vista 64bit Ult I picked it up for about £120 OEM, (you can get Premium for about £60-£70) If you buy it definatly get a disc with the 64bit version so in the years to come you can go crazy with your RAM
4GB, 8Gb any one? As for performance I had a nightmare getting supcom working BSOD's everywhere, but after a lot of testing I found my problems lay in 2 of my 4GB of RAM and some driver issues I've reinstalled vista and the game and requested an RMA on my RAM... Currently running the game on just 2Gb of RAM and its great even on the bigger battles 40x40 5 AI's (it's not too shabby) certainly a lot better than trying to play TA on my P166Mhz 16MB RAM system back in the day. It's a good stable O/S and I really do beleive it'll be a matter of a month or so for most of these driver issues to be cleaned up by the varying manurfacturers. (fingers crossed) Hope this helps Regards Pete |

Lol, on that 8GB ram thing, listen to this:
I know this guy with: A quad-core processor... 8GB of DDR2 RAM memory 2x GeForce 8800 GTX in SLI and 1 TB of HDD space. This guy is using this insane computer just for emails and photoshop wich he doesnt have any experience with. WTF!!! I'd kill for such a system!
