What other RTS's have you, currently, or planning on, competing in on a ranked ladder system. I have played a lot of RTS's but never actually bothered with the ladder system until SUPCOM. I never really got into rts's until TA so I was pretty pumped to see Chris Taylor at it again with a match making/ranking system to boot.

I used to play C&C Generals a lot, and was in the top tier of the ladder games. I also casually play Warcraft 3 with my friends (AT's and such) but not competitively.

The only one I really bothered with in recent memory is Rise Of Nations. I just can't be bothered to compete in most RTS's online, its just too freakin easy. I ordered a copy of c&c3 but cancelled it after playin the demo. Even if their will be more tournaments, its just not as challenging. Played a bunch more online..just trying to remember which actually had a ranking system that worked...heck the ranking system on Sup Com is sweet imho.

I used to play TA on TEN, i think i was ranked #45th... thats when i was like 14 years old... so for 14 years old, i think that was alright haha


in C&C Gen/ZH, i used to be in OoE, i dont think there was a 1 vs 1 ranked ladder, just a score/status

in DoW i was the leader of RtC/RvN we did pretty good in the 1 vs 1 ladder and dominated the 2 vs 2 random team ladder


for EaW i was in RsH and we pretty much were all in top 5/10/20


now in supcom im top 20 (or i struggle to be in top 20)

i might play C&C3, but only for WCG and prizes...

My 1st competitive RTS was Empire Earth, and i was in the top 5 for 3 years. (probably top 1 but there were no "official" ladder ... i just say that with my 1st rank on tourneys, unofficial ladder, etc).

I also was in the top on Rise Of Nation, but this game was so slow and its server so buggy... i left RoN after 1,5 or 2 months.

Was top 2 on Empire : Dawn of the Modern World (just behind Pillar, an very good stracraft player - btw, i just saw he was qualified for the WCG this year, gj !). It was an excellent game but failed to be popular because of...hmm "gamespy"

Then i played war3, and was a noob in 1v1, but succeeded to become top 1 in the Europe FFA ladder. (shame on the FF4 clan...they ruined this ladder now - cheat, preteam... )

I loved empire earth, but for some reason DotMW rubbed me the wrong way. I am not really sure what it was, but I didn't care for it much.

for me it felt like they made an empire earth for just (2) ages worth of tech. it lost the epicness

It performed like crap on my machine too but didn't look that much better than the original.
