Hi all, new to the site and pretty new to SupCom, playing all races online and it's going alright. My win ratio isn't too embarissing.
To clear up a foggy area, could anybody explain to me EXACTLY what adjancancy bonus is. Power gens next to mexes, factories, fabs etc. All I know atm is that power gens next to mex reduces mex power consumption, great, but what about power gens, or mexes/fabs next to factories? Thanks! |

Just note one thing Mass Fabricator lext to anything is dangerous if the area in not 100% secured. Because when the explode they do lots of adjancy damage and could for example destroy your Factory if there are many around ![]()

I usually build factories around mass extractors and fill up with power gens, leaving 1 side open (don't know if it matters) and mass storage next to mass extractors gives extra mass.
Ussually to avoid being bombed to death because of fabs exploding in my base i build a little field, containing rows of power gens and mass fabs, a bit outside my base ![]() |

Wait, lemme get this straight.. You guys are saying Mex or Fabs next to a production building decrease mass consumption, too?!?
AND, furthermore, are you also saying that Storage next to Fabs and Gens increases the production level of that type? i.e. Mass fab + Mass storage = extra mass production? Or is it extra storage? Sweet tips, I didn't know that. BTW GuTs I am creating multiple tables including information such as build times/costs, repair time/cost adjustments, and specs on adjacency bonuses. I'll be posting it when I have the info. Back to the Sandbox...

Watch out when comparing percentages 50% more energy and 50% less energy spent is not the same. If you boost 2 power generators by 50% they will produce the energy of 3 normal ones. If you decrease drain of 2 mass fabricators by 50% you will be able to use 4 such fabricators with same energy drain. Sometimes cost to set up a perfect combination is too high Surrounding your mass extractors with mass storage costs as much as 3 factories. Energy storage is even more expensive. Storages don't do anything by themselves even though their bonuses are high, so understand this when deciding. Will do an article on how to use this when I'll have some time Hydrocarbon power plant bonus is mostly informative Currently no official map supports placing 4 hydrocarbon plants next to a building, so the percentage is mostly informative in nature. Some power consumers won't connect Some power consumers like aeon shields and aeon stealth field generator won't connect to power generators, but their cybran counterparts will.
