I don't like rushing either... I like to create my base with lots of time and then take on everything with huge armies and epic battles... But rushing happens in almost every game. Why? because you harass your player a lot. You get him annoyed and 'out of the zone' as LEAF would say
![]() Also by rushing you have a fairly good chance of destroying quite some buildings. What will eventually cause him to HAVE TO REBUILD wich loses him a lot of time! And you just keep going. HEAD START as they say my friend!

Not stupid... Actually a good idea would be that you learn how to rush yourself or atleast learn how to defend yourself against it... I should learn how to defend myself to that too now that i think of it? Anyone want to tell us how?

I've got to go now but I'll explain in full tomorrow why "rushing" is the only way that makes sense in RTS. |

if you don't rush you allow your enemy to build up and that increase his chances of owning you. Ultimately I rather end a game in 5 minutes then lose it in 1 hour. Personally I'm a bit defensive myself, walls and some pd/art to allow me more time to send a more coordinated and less easily countered
counter-strike is more of my style. Letting your oppenant go to tech 2 unchallenged is bad... |

The massive improvement in economy from T1-T2/3 means that you can get away with being "cornered" aslong as you are ahead in tech, I'd like to see a bit of experimentation with turtling, fast teching and then "breaking out," with some pretty advanced gear.
