Imo CnC3 just sucks. I mean, a PowerPlant takes what? 10 seconds to get build? And then you gotta switch between buildingbars?
Plays like a actiongame with is around switching those lists. Just another moneymaking Game which doesnt interest me at all. Its no way on par with Games like Warcraft3 or SupCom |

Lets take the analogy somewhere fun. Cars!
SupCom is comparable to say...the Bughatti Veyron, new concept, lots of new ideas and very well designed, ridiculuous running costs (in upgrades alone to play it) but toally worth it. CnC3 is the latest Jag...It looks pretty, but generally without innovation and will be forgotten quickly! |

I think you guys have several good point, but you forgot that EA is behind it... and of course you can blame them and say they are bad but till now they got the best marketing for gaming... and they got loads of money. C&C3 is going to be played on WCG that means that people will support the game how crap the game even would be... if there is money to win by playing the game people will play it... and try it to make better... I played in an 1 million dollar world tour and played the game painkiller... the game itself was really crap to be honest. however lots of people played it because they saw a chance of winning some good cash... and this could work exactly the same way for C&C3. And of course you don't need one million dollar but with some thousands each year you can come really far... and marketing wise this money is nothing for EA.
For now we still need competitions, and supcom-live is working on that so stay tuned... ![]() |

yea i have to agree with you guys, sure the movies are cool and the graphics are nice, but the overall gameplay just isn't all that good. It looks like an updated version of Red Alert 2 or something. The only thing i like about is that the units get bonuses for having cover, thats a pretty cool concept.

I have to say, I was a C&C General fan, playing competively so I expected C&C 3 to fill the shoes. It didn't. To put it blunty, nothing is new (in my mind). SC brings strategy to a whole new level, WC3 is a prime example RTS with unique heroes, even Generals brougth the "commander experience" which was cool because you were rewarded for not turtling. Also with most C&C games the online support stops fairly rapidly... General still has huge bugs and well, EA has abadonned it. It looks pretty and isn't as demanding as SC though :P

I have enjoyed the campaign for CnC3, the cutscenes are really great and give a good story feel to an RTS that I have never enjoyed before (I usually hate single player mode for RTS games). However I find after SupCom the multiplayer is lacking, its all rush rush rush and micro. If you don't get your build order exactly right in the first minute you lose kind of game. So its enjoyable and a nice distraction but I prefer SupCom by a long way.
