So did anyone give it a try?
I did not have the opportunity yet and will probably not in the near future unless it's very good. Any clue people?

Hey,
A friend of mine (i should ask him to join supcom-live soon by the way) is playing supreme commander because of me and in return i would need to play his favourite outcoming game... being Commander and Conquer 3 Tiberium War(s). So i'm gladly taking the offer of playing the demo if no-one else isn't doing it allready.

Ive played it...
It's good! It has new graphics an all around good looking campaign and a great skirmish setting. In the demo you get to play demo campaign and skirmish where you are the Global Defence Initiative (GDI) fighting the Brotherhood of NOD (NOD) Kane seems to be returned from the ashes but as far as i have seen the battle will not be focused against NOD but against an alien rase trying to get Earth for its rich tiberium resources. Great actors like Michael Ironside (also known from Splinter Cell (Sam fishers voice actor) and Starship Troopers the movie, where he plays a similar commanding role!) The graphics look amazing and the gameplay is really fun. It takes you back to the old way of playing and it looks the most on how you would play the old Command & Conquer red alert game! So this is my little review of the demo... if it's not good enough go ask a pro ![]()

Although I wrote a 'good' review of the demo doesn't mean that I would want to play it from now on. Reviews are mostly written without personal thoughts.
What I think of it is: The graphics look a little better than Generals and Zero Hour but the gameplay is looking just the same. The way of playing hasn't been changed since the first game and that makes it a little sad. There is not really a big change in the C&C games, except for the story. It's a good game but it needs some new unique things for it to get a nice score with me. SupCom however is a lot more diffirent than other RTS games and that makes it a unique game!

I have played the demo and it is quite entertaining...the only set back is it is just another chapter in the C&C series standard gameplay just nicer graphics and a couple of new tricks for the units...compared to sup com, its childs play. if you a C&C fan through and through give it a go otherwise dont feel left out.

Wow just played through the C&C 3 demo...this is what the hypes about??! The actors are really cool, cut scenes and mini movies are awesome, but if the gameplay is at all like the demo I'm not sure I'm even gonna buy it. Supreme Commander ftw! Now I played a massive amount of all the westwood titles, C&C in particular. They were never my fav cause they were never that hard at all. Many maps ended up just being a 1 unit spam war. The lackluster AI was also a pet peve of mine. The new demo/game is best described like this: All flash, no substance. Sure the movies, cutscenes and gameplay graphics are pretty nice. Music is good too. However the game is still easy, too easy even. With the same super overpowered weapons that are much too cheap. Considering the huge breakthroughs in rts strategic controls (not even including SC) the paltry selection of controls in C&C3 is insulting for a game this hyped with such a huge budget (much much more than Supreme Commander). I'm not expecting it to reflect SC in any way, I just think they should have focused a bit more on actual gameplay dynamics rather than go overboard on the movies. I love the C&C movies - part of the appeal..but come on.

I've played the demo, and i wasn't impressed, all it was, was a prettied up version of C&C Generals... i didnt like the build menu tabs, they are to squashed and confusing, so many random bars and buttons all over the place, and of course NO ZOOM OUT! :P
so yeah... supcom> C&C3 imo... but i am still getting C&C3 for single player + the fact that i own a pc cafe and other people will be playing it
