Is Aeon and UEF less popular because it's just harder to play them?
I mean, is it about their weaknesses or maybe it's players skills issue?

Maybe it's because in the demo the Cybran where the only playable faction

I played the demo so much that i'm used to use cybran now.

I think Aeon is the overal most played Faction especially by top players

from a Beat player point of view I'd say that Cybran might be more popular because they have been the overpowered faction for a period of time.
From a player viewpoint I think that because of the games i used to play before Cybran being the 'fast pace' Faction would be my preference. I like the Mantis units because they are fast and look funky when they are on the move.

But I play random Faction actually ^^

In ranked I most always go with the Cybrans, but in custom I use Aeon. I need my speed for ranked, but I like the options the Aeon have later on.

All I know is that I suck with UEF, have not one a single ranked match with them to date. Not sure what I'm doing...must be cursed..a pox on thee UEF!!

seeing how often Aeon is used in top players match i would have really expected more vote in that Faction favor

I always like the Aeon before the game was even out, conceptually. And I was glad when the whole Cybran Beta craze happened. I did just fine because I knew that scouts are worth their weight in gold!

Now that everyone plays Aeon I am finding myself dreading replays! Aeon Mirrors are so damn boring after the 20th one you've watched!

I'm actually thinking about practicing with Cybran just to get some variety in my diet!
