Top of the ladder in this game really needs to shuffle more. The same names have been there for months, and i don´t think they´ve played a single game during that time. Hopefully it´d push for more activity on the ladder, since it´s so god damn diggidy hard to get a game.

Why ranking decay for inactives is a huge Problem?
That takes away rating points from the system! That will cause a rating deflation and everyone with a adequate rating would loose points! Now already if Eshez never ever plays again we already "lost" 791 points from the system. Now imagine every one game 1600pt player looses points over time... that would be VERY BAD!. You could even trick the decay caused deflation by playing just the right number of games to get no decay and stay over thoose that loose points... Now for real... its a bad idea. |

I have some doubt against rating decay, as I tend to believe that active players should pass by the points of inactive players and the top would change naturally... then again, I think ladder resets now and then (say... once in three months) would be nice way to crop out inactive players.

I think that hiding would be nice but no ranking decay cuz you worked HARD to get x points and you gonna lose it just cuz you got sick of the game?
i think we should hide players that are inactive for 15 days and if they came to play again they should appear on the right position depending on the points that player has, that would me a MUCH fair system and no one would get "hurt". |
